Landestheater Marburg / 2022
Excerpts from the stage projections for Wonderwomb
Stage views with projection onto opera foil
With Wonderwomb, Amir Gudarzi sets his sights on the simultaneity of things and was honoured with the Kleist Prize for Young Dramatists. In the play, oil symbolises the commercial exploitation exploitation of the planet. Eva Lange’s world premiere conquers the overwhelming text with choral energy.
The screen for Rebecca Riedel’s sometimes very powerful videos hangs in the centre of the stage. Some of which are very powerful, showing bodies from a bird’s eye from a bird’s eye view. (nachtkritik)
The production was staged for the Kleist Festival in Frankfurt/Oder.
