The society in Huxley’s negative utopian wake-up call from 1932 is set in the year 632 'after Ford'.
On stage, an elegant white wooden shed with an auditorium forms a completely enclosed world, unclouded, bright and clean. The people cavort around in it, dressed smartly and spared from the process of ageing in pastel colours. The virtual worlds in the background can be changed with a flick of the wrist — of course, this has long been possible in reality.
